The Virtue in Months Sa'ban

First Sermon

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِيْ أَنْزَلَ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ لِيُخْرِجَ النَّاسَ بِهَا مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّوْرِ
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلَّمَ
أَيـُّهَا النَّاسُ، اتَّقُوا اللهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلاَ تَمُوْتُنَّ إِلاَّ وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُوْنَ
أَمَّا بَعْدُ

Ma’asyiral muslimin hafidhakumullah,

Now we have entered the month of Sha'ban. Moon located between Rajab and Ramadan is often neglected by many people as the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam:

ذَلِكَ شَهْرٌ يَغْفُلُ النَّاسُ عَنْهُ بَيْنَ رَجَبٍ وَرَمَضَانَ

"(Sha'ban) is a month that is neglected by most humans are (located) between Rajab and Ramadan" (HR. An-Nasa'i; hasan)

Human negligence over the month of Sha'ban can be known from their shock when Ramadan has arrived. "Why are you've Ramadan", "Suddenly already Ramadhan ya" and comments like illustrates how Sha'ban have been neglected.

Some are actually knew Sha'ban has arrived. Ramadan has been ahead. But they actually increase disobedience. "Semampang not Ramadan," the reason.

Friday prayer worshipers blessed Allah SWT,

Many people neglect the month of Sha'ban. In fact, this month is a special month. In the month of Sha'ban is charitable man appointed to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said in the continuation of the above hadith:

وَهُوَ شَهْرٌ تُرْفَعُ فِيهِ الْأَعْمَالُ إِلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

"Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha'ban is my moon, and Ramadan is the month of my people" (HR. Dailami)

This hadith rank dha'if. Likewise, similar hadiths that mention that Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha'ban is the month of Ramadan month of the Prophet and the Muslims.

Ma'asyiral Muslims hafidhakumullah,

Then the example of the Prophet charity in the month of Sha'ban? Among the first charity, which is exemplified by the Prophet in the month of Sha'ban is the sunnah fasting multiply.

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَمْ أَرَكَ تَصُومُ شَهْرًا مِنْ الشُّهُورِ مَا تَصُومُ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ قَالَ ذَلِكَ شَهْرٌ يَغْفُلُ النَّاسُ عَنْهُ بَيْنَ رَجَبٍ وَرَمَضَانَ وَهُوَ شَهْرٌ تُرْفَعُ فِيهِ الْأَعْمَالُ إِلَى رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ عَمَلِي وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ

I (Usamah bin Zaid) said to the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah, I do not see you fasting in a month than your fasting in the month of Sha'ban." He replied, "This is the month that is neglected by most humans, between Rajab and Ramadan , In this month of human deeds raised towards Rabb of the Worlds. That's why I want when amalku raised to God, I am fasting. "(HR. An-Nasa'i; hasan)

Mother of the Faithful Aisha radi 'anha also narrated the hadith habits show this charity in the month of Sha'ban.

لَمْ يَكُنِ النَّبِىُّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم – يَصُومُ شَهْرًا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ كُلَّهُ

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam never sunnah fasting in a month more than the month of Sha'ban. Indeed, he was full fasting in Sha'ban. (HR. Al-Bukhari)

When explaining this hadith in Fath al-Bari, Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani explained that the phrase "a month-long fasting" is a phrase majaz. In the words of Arabic, someone may say "a month-long fasting" when what is meant is "fasting on most days of the month".

From these descriptions, we come to know that sunnah fasting in the month of Sha'ban so special because in this month the charity raised, this month is neglected by many people, and at the same time a preparation Sya'ban fasting of Ramadan. As explained by Sheikh Muhyidin Mistu, Mustafa Al-Bugha, and other scholars in Nuzhatul Muttaqin.

Other scholars who explain that reproduce sunnah fasting in the month of Sha'ban it means that the sunnah fasts. Namely fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, bidh ayyamul fasting, fasting fasting disunnahkan Dawud and others.

As fast specialize in one or two days of Sha'ban ruling makruh. Except fasting which is mandatory due to nadzar, qadha 'or expiation. Or sunnah fasting is usually done either on Mondays and Thursdays or fasting Dawud.

Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:

لاَ يَتَقَدَّمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ رَمَضَانَ بِصَوْمِ يَوْمٍ أَوْ يَوْمَيْنِ ، إِلاَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلٌ كَانَ يَصُومُ صَوْمَهُ فَلْيَصُمْ

"Do not precede Ramadan by fasting a day or two days earlier. Unless someone who (rightfully / usually) doing his fast on that day. Then let him fast "(HR. Al-Bukhari)

Friday Jemaah blessed Allah SWT,

Amal second month of Sha'ban is to pay off the debts of fasting, especially for Muslim women who still have not finished to make up the 'Ramadan fasting.

Aisha said:

كَانَ يَكُونُ عَلَىَّ الصَّوْمُ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، فَمَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَقْضِىَ إِلاَّ فِى شَعْبَانَ . قَالَ يَحْيَى الشُّغْلُ مِنَ النَّبِىِّ أَوْ بِالنَّبِىِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم

I have a debt of Ramadan, I can not download it except in the month of Sha'ban, because the busy airport Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam. (HR. Al-Bukhari)

Ma'asyiral Muslims hafidzakumullah,

Amal third month of Sha'ban is multiply worship and good deeds in general. Good intensified rawatib prayers, evening prayers, recitations of the Qur'an, charity, charitable and others. Because the month of Sha'ban is the month of the appointment of charity, then it is good when our charity is really good this month.

Second Sermon:

اَللهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُوْلِكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَاحِبَ الْوَجْهِ اْلأَنْوَرِ، وَالْجَبِيْنِ اْلأَزْهَرِ، وَارْضَ اللهُمَّ عَنِ اْلأَرْبَعَةِ الْخُلَفَاءِ الرَّشِدِيْنَ وَاْلأَئِمَّةِ الْمَهْدِيِّيْنَ الَّذِيْنَ قَضَوْا بَالْحَقِّ وَبِهِ كَانُوْا يَعْدِلُوْنَ أَبِى بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَعَلِى وَعَنِ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِيْنَ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ، وَعِنَا مَعَهُمْ بِعَفْوِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ وَإِحْسَانِكَ يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّحِمِيْنَ

اَللهُمَّ أَعِزَّاْلإِسْلاَمَ وَالْمُسْلِمِيْنَ، وَأَذِلَّ الشِّرْكَ وَالْمُسْرِكِيْنَ، وَانْصُرْ عِبَادَكَ الْمُوَحِّدِيْنَ، اَللهُمَّ ادْفَعْ عَنَّا الْغَلاَءَ وَالْوَبَاءَ وَالرِّبَا وَالزِّنَا وَالزَّلاَزِلَ وَالْمِحَنَ وَسُوْءَالْفِتَنِ مَاظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَابَطَنَ عَنْ بَلَدِنَا هَذَا خَاصَّةً وَعَنْ سَائِرِ بِلاَدِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ عَامَّةً يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِى الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِى اْلاخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ، رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْلَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُوْنَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِيْنَ، عِبَادَاللهِ، إِنَّ اللهَ يَأْمُرُ بِلْعَدْلِ وَاْلإِحْسَانِ وَإِيْتَاءِ ذِى الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ، وَأَوْفُوْا بِعَهْدِ اللهِ إِذَا عَاهَدْتُمْ وَلاَ تَنْقُضُوااْلأَيْمَانَ بَعْدَ تَوْكِيْدِهَا وَقَدْ جَعَلْتُمُ اللهُ عَلَيْكُمْ كَفِيْلاً، إِنَّ اللهَ يَعْلَمُ مَاتَفْعَلُوْنَ فَاذْكُرُوْا اللهَ الْعَظِيْمَ يَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاسْكُرُوهُ عَلَى نِعَمِهِ يَزِدْكُمْ، وَلَذِكْرُاللهِ أَكْبَرُ وَاللهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُوْنَ
