Will Ahok Leave The Position as Governor?

Lil Islam - Jakarta Parliament optimistic if the right of inquiry related to the budget debate in 2015 will run smoothly. By doing so, the Governor of Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) will leave office.

Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Mohammad Taufik said that currently collect 106 signatures in support of the council members to use their right of inquiry to investigate the truth of Jakarta budget in 2015 amounted to Rp73, 08 trillion that has been submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs

by Jakarta Provincial Government.

According to Taufik, the submitted budget is not a budget that was passed on 27 January. Because, there is no signature of the Chairman of Parliament, and Chairman of the Budget Committee (Banggar) Prasetyo Edi Marsudi.

"This is a clear violation of the law. We are confident that the right of inquiry that we use, will dismiss Ahok as Governor of Jakarta," said Mohammad Taufik when he was meet in the lobby of Parliament Building Jakarta, Tuesday (02/17/2015).

Taufik explained, in accordance with Law No. 17 and Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs, 2014, on Approval of the budget procedure that is set before ratification, executive activity programs be submitted to the legislature to be agreed in Public Policy Priorities Budget Provisional Budget Ceiling (KUAPPAS).

After  that, it was brought into the meeting between work unit (SKPD) with each commission and be forwarded to the Budget Agency (Banggar). The draft budget that has been discussed by Banggar and then it was meeting of paripurna and authenticated by the signature of the Governor of Jakarta together with the Chairman of to the Budget Agency (Banggar).

Ironically, the Gerindra politician said, after be approved, Ahok no discussions back to the budget that has been approved. Ahok choose directly send the draft to the Ministry of Home Affairs. In fact, the Ministry of Home Affairs did not want to accept the budget and be returned to Jakarta government because there is no signature of the Chairman of Parliament and also details the use of the budget that are not clear.

"From there it was seen how Ahok violated the law. E-budgeting that should there are after the approval. That's the transparency of the system, not the draft budget procedure," he said. (sindo)
